Mazda 5 2012: Technical details of the family

The latest models launched by Mazda, incorporating aesthetics evolved and Mazda 5 has not wanted to be left behind. On the outside we find somewhat aggressive lines, forming a dynamic silhouette and attractive to many families who need a vehicle of this type, both for its size and for its qualities.

The outer dimensions Mazda 5 are composed of a total length of 4,565 mm , having a width of 1,986 mm (including mirrors), while its height is 1615 mm. Thus, we can confirm that this is a large MPV, with dimensions similar to the Volkswagen Sharan.

Engines available

When configuring our Mazda 5 found three different engines, for two petrol and one diesel.

The petrol engines are a 1.8 MZR with an output of 85 hp, while peak torque stands at 165 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Similarly, the 2.0 MZR found capable of a power of 110 hp and the torque in this case stands at 191 Nm.

For the diesel version, uses a 1.6 CRTD engine that develops 85 bhp of power and has a couple of 270 Nm.

  • 2.0 MZR 150 hp
  • 1.6 CRTD 115 hp

It may seem less powerful engines, but their efficiency can enjoy a worry-free driving. Top speed for the Mazda MPV is in the 194 km / h, while fuel consumption is minimum 5.2 l/100 km.
