Peugeot 308 SW 2012: Powertrains and Performance

The segment of the long breaks that became fashionable and what we see reflected in our streets, as it is one segment that has been growing rapidly in recent years, within the world of automobiles. The transformation in family sedans for the whole family is an ideal alternative for those who want to avoid the minivan or large vehicles such as SUVs. Peugeot has a good experience in this segment and currently 308 SW model represents a good game.

The Peugeot 308 Station Wagon takes on traditional aesthetics with the tendency that the manufacturer has been implemented in recent generations, but in its latest update has added some special features to define a single touch, and try to be a good match for the great references, as the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer, which has established itself as one of the most acclaimed models in this segment in 2012.

In the first case, the engine has a 1.6 VTi able to develop a power of 120 hp, with a manual 5 speed. In diesel options, we find on one side a 1.6 HDi engine with a power of 92 hp, while we have also available e-HDi engine of 110 hp, with a presumed efficiency.

Performance and consumption

Not a family that has a great performance, but are enough to bring the whole family and the entire luggage with privacy and minimal concerns. Besides assuming good vehicle attitude, also have low fuel consumption and therefore emissions.

The most efficient of all, with 110 horsepower, is lowering their average consumption up to 4.4 l/100km, while its emissions are at 114 g / km.

The Peugeot 308 SW is posited as a modest family, but its practicality and good prices, are part of the positive points of this model, and if you look down the street, we know that is why people preferring ends.
